- Stay on the same page.
- No end runs.
- The integrator is the tiebreaker.
- You’re an employee when working “in” the business.
- Maintain mutual respect.
The first rule—stay on the same page—gets its own dedicated tool in EOS: the Same Page Meeting. It’s a regular meeting where the Visionary and Integrator bring up and solve any issues that might cause misalignment. It’s one of the most powerful habits you can build into your leadership rhythm.
But sometimes, even between those meetings, small things slip. Maybe you have a quick hallway conversation, make a few decisions, and walk away thinking you’re aligned—only to realize later that you remembered the details differently.
That’s where technology can give you a hand.
Here’s a simple trick I use: after any important conversation, open the voice chat feature of your favorite AI tool and tell it what was discussed and decided. Ask it to turn that information into a short email capturing the key points and agreements. (Make sure to tell the AI to actually write the email text—not just tell you verbally. Learned that one the hard way.)
Then review it, make any needed edits, and send it to your business partner.
Now you both have a clear written record of the conversation—a shared reference point that solidifies agreement, prevents confusion, reduces rework, and builds trust.
It only takes a few minutes, but it strengthens Rule #1—and when you keep that rule strong, the rest of the Rocket Fuel partnership runs a lot smoother.
